YOU GOT QUESTIONS. WE GOT ANSWERS.
It's been quite a year with many changes so we've compiled a list of some of the questions we've received the most. You and your experience are very important to us! These FAQs were lasted updated on December 3, 2020. Please know that we are currently operating under the "Three Week Pause to Save Lives" Michigan Department of Health and Human Services emergency order. Our rules and FAQs may change quickly. We recommend following us on social media to be up-to-date on what's happening.
What are your hours?
Our property hours may have been adjusted due to the "Three Week Pause to Save Lives" Michigan Department of Health and Human Services emergency order. You can find on property hours here: https://roundbarn.com. We are open year-around, expect for major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
What is your maximum group size?
Six is the magic number! Our maximum group size per party is 6. We are unable to accommodate groups larger than 6 currently, even if splitting into smaller groups due to capacity restrictions and potential wait times.
But what if my group size is 10?
Again, maximum group size is 6. Plain and simple. Again, we are unable to accommodate groups larger than 6 currently, even if splitting into smaller groups due to capacity restrictions and potential wait times.
Are facemasks required at your properties?
Yes, masks are required at all of our properties. Masks are required to enter and while walking to and from your table. They can be removed once you get to your table. Please also wear your mask when walking to use the restroom. We also ask that guests wear their masks correctly - over the mouth and nose.
Are there any other COVID-19 rules or mandates I should know about?
Please know that we are currently operating under the "Three Week Pause to Save Lives" Michigan Department of Health and Human Services emergency order. For additional details about our current rules and procedures visit our COVID-19 page here..
Can I make a reservation?
Round Barn Tasting Room in Union Pier and the Round Barn Filling Station does not allow reservations. These locations are first-come, first-serve. At the Round Barn Estate, you can currently make a reservation for our Igloos at the Village.
What is your current bus and limo policy?
Due to COVID-19 and capacity restrictions, we are only able to accept groups from the following tour companies, with a maximum group size of 8 people: Harbor Country Adventures, Grape & Grain Tours, Hops Noggin, and South Shore Brew Bus. NO OTHER COMPANIES WILL BE PERMITTED AT THIS TIME. For additional information about this new policy, please visit our Bus & Limo Policy here.
Are you kid-friendly?
As a family-owned business, we love kids! Well behaved kids are always welcome to our properties, but need to be closely attended to by parents at all times. We do not have a playground or offer activities for children, so please consider bringing quiet activities to keep them entertained. Children are not permitted in our Guided Tasting or The Chalet experience this winter.
What about dogs? Can I bring my furry friend?
We are dog friendly at the Round Barn Estate. You can also bring your furry friend to our outdoor patio Round Barn Filling Station and the Round Barn Tasting Room (sorry - furry friends aren't allowed inside). We ask that your furry friend is on a leash and you pick up after them while you are visiting us. Because the Round Barn Public House is mainly indoors, we do not allow dogs at this location.
Starting Friday, November 6, our Igloos at the Village will open. We will not allow dogs inside the igloos during this time.
Do you have food available at the Round Barn Estate?
During the winter months, we do not have food at the Estate. Guests can order food online from the Round Barn Brewery and Public House Wednesday-Sunday and have it delivered to you at Round Barn Estate. Ask your server for additional details!
I want to come to the Round Barn Estate on Saturday or Sunday, and participate in a wine tasting. What do your weekend tastings look like?
We do not offer "general wine tastings" on the weekends at the Estate, (flights are not available on the weekends). We do offer our Guided Tasting Experience on the weekend. Reservations are required. For more information about our Guided Tasting Experience, please visit this page.
Do you offer tours or can we go in to the Round Barn?
