The session ale dates back to two ideas. The first takes us to WWI-era England where workers were actually allowed to drink on the job, even in weapons manufacturing—yikes! Workers were allowed two drinking periods, or “sessions,” each day—one at lunch and then one after hours. The low ABV in these ales made it so employers could prevent their workers from getting too drunk while also not angering them with pint limitations. The other idea comes from a more casual point of view with people wanting to drink a flavorful brew while also enjoying a long stay at their local bar.

Whether you enjoy a low ABV beer or a flavorful one, our first beer dinner of the season will have you reaching for that extra pint! Join us for four courses inspired by the history of the session ale while incorporating local, in-season ingredients paired with four session-inspired brews. Put down the lawnmower beer and get your tickets now!
